There is no better time for dating and love than the holidays! Whether you're a holiday hater or a pro ice skater we're all lookin for love during the Christmas season. We all want to find that special someone and cozy up on the couch next to the fire, guzzle down some holiday cheer in a cup and watch the snow fall like a beautiful dead reindeer...This christmas do something special, like take the girl of your dreams to temple square or riverwoods!! Clever? I think so. Oh wait...Everyone does that! Do something original for a change like I did, take them sledding in the mountains! The lack of safety is no concern because it's Christmas and as the Grinch said, "They'll be no sad faces on Christmas" He took Cindy loo who sledding and look at how cute she thought he was, talk about getting a girl to dig ya!!! So I thought, heck, why don't I do the same darn thing. I won't steal Christmas but I'll take a girl sledding through treacherous terrain!! So I did it, recent hip surgery and all. We went up to dry canyon, I'll admit she was a little skeptical at first but I told her everything would be fine, the only real thing we got to worry about is cougars because I'm the best sledder this side of the Mississippi. We hiked to a spot I've sledded on my own many times and naturally she wanted to see me go first to know it was safe, soooo I went down face first with no idea how it was going to turn out considering the slow is a little less than usual! But I made it! We sledded the whole day and had a blast, afterwards I could barely walk because my hip was killin me, but to see the look of shear Christmas joy on the face of my date made it all worth it! Was she ever happy with me? No. But did I train her to love sledding from that day on, absolutely. Give up on love, it's tough to come by. From now on stick with something that will bring you true joy for the rest of your lives, sledding!
